I wanted to share a beautiful and simple fall tablescape I put together using my DIY fabric pumpkins and acorns. This would be so pretty for a Thanksgiving table also!

I've used vintage and thrifted ironstone dishes, and topped each place setting off with one of my DIY fabric pumpkins!

For the centerpiece I stacked dishes and fabric acorns on a wooden riser that I made and sprinkled little fabric acorns all around.

Learn how to make your own fabric acorn in 4 simple steps.

1.) Lay your fabric out flat, trace around a circular object, and then cut out your circle.
2.) Thread your needle and tie a knot on the end of your thread. Stitch around the diameter of the acorn. Push your needle down through your fabric and then come up through the fabric leaving about an inch gap in between. Leave a "tail" where you started stitching so your thread doesn't pull through. When you've gone all the way around, hold onto both ends of the thread and start to stuff your acorn full of the Poly Fil.
3.) Once you have a good amount of Poly Fil in your acorn go ahead and tie your two ends of thread. Knot it several times.
4.) Hot glue it into the acorn cap.

Hi y’all! I wanted to share another cute place setting topper idea with y’all tonight. I made this little leaf and acorn out of paper clay using @ironorchid_design moulds and then painted them with acrylic paint. I ran jute string through them and tied them around a small book. I finished them off by tucking in a fresh spring of eucalyptus. I think they are so cute! These would make great napkin holders too. ☺️

Did you know the time changed last night? Did you know today is November 1st? Cause I sure didn’t until about 2:00 today! Living in my own little world. 😂

I’m still in fall mode over here and don’t plan on starting Christmas projects for another week or two. In the meantime, I’m going to try and get a little fabric acorn tutorial up this week and do one more fall centerpiece for y’all! I haven’t shared this place setting but I sure love these little concrete pumpkins from Hobby Lobby. I might have to make some concrete pumpkins as a fall craft next year!
