Pretty DIY Valentines Wreath Ideas with Hanging Hearts
This sweet Valentine’s wreath is so simple to make. I started out by painting little wooden hearts that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. The hearts were painted in the colors pink, gold, and grey.
Next, I used stencils from A Makers’ Studio Winter Maker Box to add pretty hearts and words of love to the hearts.

Once dry, I gathered some mauve ribbon and cut it into strips. I secured a heart to each end of the ribbon, repeating that process until all of my hearts were attached to the strands of ribbon. Then I arranged the ribbon so the hearts were hanging at various lengths.
I looped a piece of velvet ribbon through the centers and then tied the velvet ribbon onto the grapevine wreath. Once secure, I added a large, mauve bow to the top of the wreath to balance it out.
What do you think of this Pretty DIY Valentines Wreath with Hanging Hearts?! I think it turned out so cute and it was so simple and inexpensive! You only need a few wooden craft hearts, a grapevine wreath, and some ribbon to recreate this look!
DIY Heart Shaped Wreath Ideas
I picked up this grapevine heart shape wreath form from Hobby Lobby for a few dollars! I wanted to keep this wreath simple but add a little something to it and make it look a little more romantic and feminine.
While I was at Hobby Lobby, I picked up a couple of faux florals that I could use on the wreath. Once home, I trimmed the floral stems into smaller pieces and tucked them into the heart shaped wreath. They nested down in the wreath nicely so I didn’t end up having to use a glue gun to secure them.
Once the flower stems were arranged to my liking, I decided to add a bow to the top, center of the heart shaped wreath. I had a pretty, peach chiffon ribbon on hand so I used that to make the bow.
For this bow I simply stack the ribbon up working my way back and forth as many times as I like. Once I have the desired amount of layers, I gather the center and secure it with floral wire. Then I use the end of the floral wire to secure the bow to the grapevine wreath.
To make this wreath a little more beautiful, I added a pretty little rhinestone to the center of the bow. I used hot glue to secure it to the bow.
Is this not the prettiest little DIY Heart shaped wreath you’ve ever seen?! I absolutely adore it! The size, colors, ribbon… it’s so pretty! I’m actually planning on leaving this up in our bedroom throughout the Spring/Summer season. I love using a peachy-pink in our bedroom during the Spring and this sweet wreath will be a nice touch!
Whimsical Shabby Chic DIY Valentines Day Wreath Ideas
Take a look at these beautiful shabby chic Valentine’s day wreaths from White Lace Cottage. Are they not the sweetest? I love the ragged, whimsical look.
For this first wreath, Anne started by taking some wire and shaping it into a heart. From there she took a package of dizzy fizzy and trimmed it into varying lengths, then tied each piece onto the wire form. This white heart-shaped wreath is so simple to make, but it does take some time. It’s a great project to do while catching up on your favorite TV show!
She also made this cute rag wreath using strips of muslin fabric. Simply tear your muslin fabric into strips and then trim them in 4-6 inch lengths. Tie them onto your heart-shaped wire form, repeating that process until it’s completely full.
I love the simple look of these two heart-shaped wreaths and the neutral color palette means they can go with any decor!
Paper Flowers DIY Valentines Day Wreath Ideas
Up next is this adorable Valentine’s heart-shaped wreath from Emily at LeCultivateur. Emily is so talented and I love following her.
She started by taking a heart-shaped wire wreath form and using wire cutters to trim it into three pieces / three hearts. Once all of the excess wire is trimmed off, take some vintage sheet music and trim it into long strips. Use Elmer’s glue to attach the sheet music to the wire heart form.
Next, use 16-gauge wire to “write” out the word love making sure it will fit into the heart form. Cover it in vintage sheet music too and then hot glue it onto the heart form.
Add some paper flowers and leaves to finish off the wreath.
Vintage Valentine’s Day Wreath
Emily also made this Vintage Valentine’s Day Wreath using vintage valentines and a floral craft ring from Michales. Isn’t it so cute?!
She attached all of the vintage valentine cards to the craft ring using sticky dots, and the hot glued a ribbon on the back for the hanger.
Chunky Knit Heart Wreath
Ashley from Modern Glam made this cute Chunky Knit Heart Wreath for Valentine’s Day. Isn’t it adorable? I love the white chunky knit. You could make this in just about any color and it would be darling.
Head to her heart wreath blog post for step-by-step instructions on how to crochet a chunky knit heart wreath!
She also made this round chunky knit wreath using the same technique and then added this cute XOXO banner. I love this Valentine’s Day wreath!
Heart Shaped Dried Hydrangea Wreath
Michele from Vintage Home made this pretty heart-shaped wreath with dried hydrangeas. Isn’t it beautiful! She started with a heart-shaped grapevine wreath and then secured her dried hydrangeas onto it with floral wire and hot glue.
Pom Pom Heart Wreath
My friend Elizabeth at the Country Peony has some very cute Valentine’s Day wreaths! Look at this cute Pom Pom Heart Wreath she made!
She started out with a wire, heart shaped wreath form and then made all of the pom poms using here Clover pom pom maker. She tied and glued each pom pom on, repeating the process until the entire wreath was complete.
I think this heart shaped pom pom wreath is so fun and would look darling on
Valentine’s Day Cookie Wreath
She also made this cute Valentine’s Day Cookie Wreath! She hand-painted all of the wooden hearts to look like iced valentines cookies. They are so cute! After she painted the rolling pins, she attached all of the items to her wreath form using hot glue.
This would be so cute hanging above the stove!
Wine Cork Heart Shaped Wreath
Leslie from My One Hundred Year Old Home made this cute heart-shaped valentine’s day wreath out of wine corks!
Natural Valentines Day Wreath Ideas
I could not love this Natural Valentines Day Wreath from Finding Lovely anymore! Jackie has such a beautiful home and I love following her!
This wreath is so pretty, simple, and elegant.
She took some branches from her garden and formed them into the shape of a heart and secured it together with floral wire. From there she added some floral stems to the base and then tied a pretty ribbon around the top for hanging. It is sweet and simple!
No Sew Fabric Heart Shaped Wreath
This sweet pink heart-shaped, fabric wreath from Hallstrome Home would be so cute layered on a mantle or hanging on a mirror. I love how Rhonda has it hanging in an empty picture frame.
To make this wreath take a simple heart wreath form and wrap it with vintage chenille fabric. Wrap it all the way around your heart form securing it as needed with hot glue.
You can add some dried florals or faux floral stems to your wreath by simply tucking them into the chenille fabric!
Red And White XO Valentine Wreath
I love how simple and festive this XO Valentines Wreath is from Carol at Blue Sky At Home. She used an XO stencil from A Makers’ Studio, some tissue paper, and A Makers’ Studio Gel Art ink to create this cute wreath!
