Come on over for my cottage fall finds! I’m sharing the colors and patterns that I’ll be using in my fall decor and some favorite finds!
Cottage Fall Finds
I know we are smack in the middle of Summer and it is about a million degrees outside, but I have started gathering some cottage fall finds that I’ll be using to decorate our home for fall! And since it is so hot outside, I can hardly wait to welcome the cooler weather and smells of fall!
Last year we had just started to getting settled into our new home, so I didn’t do a whole lot of decorating for fall. I pulled out a few of the things that I used from the year before and kept it very simple. I used a dusty blue and caramel color year before last and I did love how it came together. You can see that fall home tour here.
I’ve decided to go with sage greens, creams, dark brown, and a taupe or caramel color this year! I’ll be using some floral, plaid, and buffalo check prints. And I’ll be adding in a lot of dried florals like wheat stems and corn husk wreaths!

Cottage Fall Finds: Ribbon
When I’m gathering inspiration and deciding on how I want to decorate for a season, I typically start by choosing colors or a pattern that I’m drawn too! I love to use one of those things and then pull everything together that way.
For Fall this year I started by selecting my ribbon. I love using ribbon all over our home and I think it is an inexpensive way to pull seasonal decor together. For Fall, I add it to baskets, lamps, vases, pumpkin stems, and around turkey necks!

Cottage Fall Finds: Fabric and Patterns
Once I’ve chosen my color pallet I like to pull in coordinating fabrics and patterns. I do this by purchasing fabric by the yard and also things like throw pillows and blankets. For fall I like to use the fabric I purchased by the yard to make these DIY Fabric pumpkins.

This year, I picked out a tan buffalo check pattern and a light olive stripe fabric for my pumpkins.
These adorable tan buffalo check pillow covers are from Pottery Barn and they are such a great price! I also snagged these Sage Floral Medallion pillow covers from my friend Dani over at Land of Pillows. I loved the color and the floral block print pattern. I’ll be adding those pillows along with some cream stripe pillow covers that I have from Target to our sectional this season.

Cottage Fall Finds: Dried Florals, Wreaths, Faux Stems
For Fall I also like to add in dried florals and stems! I put them in vases, baskets, and dough bowls to add texture and bring in seasonal interest! Some of my favorite fall wreaths are from Floral Treasure. I love the two wreaths they sent me this year and I can’t wait to get them up! They sent me the 22″ Country Estate Champagne Wreath and the 9″ Buff Celosia Wreath.
I purchased their corn husk and wheat wreath last year and plan to bring it down from the attic and use it again this year!

Smells of Fall
Ahh the smells of fall! I LOVE fall candles and room sprays. Two of my favorite candle companies are Antique Candle Co. and Hive and Home.
You can’t go wrong with any of the fall scents from Antique Candle Co. I LOVE the Pumpkin Spice, Cozy Cabin, and Apple Butter. They will be launching all of their Fall scents VERY soon!
The room sprays from Hive and Home are SO GOOD! I bet the Pumpkin Apple Butter and Amish Harvest would be amazing for Fall! I have smelled the Main Bakery room spray and it would make a great cozy fall scent if you like the smell of sweets baking!

The heat we are having in North Texas has made me so ready for fall to get here. Love the selections you have picked and the colors.
Hi Cindy! Yes, it is just too hot. My poor flowers are barely hanging on! Thanks so much, so excited to start pulling out all of my fall decor 🙂
