French Cottage Fall Bedroom
Hi! Welcome back to my home! I’m so excited to share my French Cottage Fall Bedroom with you today. I have really grown to love decorating for fall…almost more than Christmas! I love all the textures, and dried stems. This time of year feels cozy and peaceful and that’s exactly how I want my home to feel also.
If you saw this post about my cottage fall finds, you know that I am doing a lot of greens and neutrals this year for my fall decor. For my bedroom though, I decided to stick to the neutrals and not add in any green. Although I sometimes consider green a neutral color. 😉

My room feels so cozy and peaceful and I’m really loving the neutral color palette in here for the fall season.
French Cottage Fall Bedroom Bedding
I love to switch up my bedding with the seasons. A little bit of change and a fresh look is good for the soul! I typically keep my white scallop quilt and shams on year-round and then change up the king size shams and the quilt at the end of the bed. I also love to switch out the long lumbar pillow to tie in my seasonal decor.
This year I pulled out this soft greige quilt to use. I purchased this a few years ago from Home Depot and I havn’t been able to find it to link, but I will link some similar at the end of this post. This grey quilt that I have is very similar to the one on the bed, it’s just a little darker. I love them both!
You can purchase the brown chenille lumbar pillow here. I love this pillow and it’s great for fall or a neutral bedroom color palette.
Here are my favorite sham and throw pillow inserts. They are SO GOOD! They are full, fluffy, have a nice weight to them, and hold THE CHOP!
French Cottage Fall Bedroom DIY Fall Swag
Did you see the DIY Fall Swag over the bed? Click here for the simple DIY fall swag tutorial that I just shared! I love decorating with dried florals, especially during fall. The dried wheat stems and pops of cream tallow berries look so pretty with the brown stripe ribbon.
French Cottage Fall Bedroom Accents
Did you see my post last week on how to makeover a thrifted urn and turn it into a pumpkin topiary? I used Amy Howards Cracked Patina to achieve this paint finish but I have the instructions and everything linked over in the blog post. It is such a fun project and I think they are so pretty! Click the button below to go check it out!
How To Make A
DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary
I have this one sitting on my nightstand. Didn’t the finish turn out so pretty? I love this look so much!
I finished off this fall vignette with a stack of vintage books from my friend Jamie over at Jaysworld books and of course one of my favorite candles from Antique Candle Co!

I went to Canton last weekend with a good friend for First Monday Trade Days. First Monday Trade Days is a big market that happens once a month and it is full of thrifted finds, vintage furniture, and boutiques. Basically a shoppers dream! It’s amazing and I love looking for treasures and browsing through all of the creative store displays!
There is a cute store called Simplicity that I really like to shop at. It’s a mix of clothing and home decor. When we walked in and I saw these framed botanical fern prints I knew exactly where I would hang them in my bedroom!
They look so pretty with my fall decor in my bedroom, but I’m sure these will move around the house over time. They are pretty large and the art is set back in the frame like a shadow box. I think they are so pretty!
French Cottage Fall Bedroom French Wingback
You know this is one of my very favorite Facebook Marketplace finds right?! I LOVE this chair and ottoman that I purchased in perfect condition. This is my little corner of the bedroom and I love to read here.
I fell in love with this brown bird toile pillow. I purchased one online and loved it so much that I went back for more so I could put them in my living room. The color is perfect for my fall decor, but I also love the bird toile pattern and will probably keep one or two in my office all year long.
Who doesn’t love buffalo check and plaid in the fall? This tan buffalo check throw is so soft and so pretty! I love mixing patterns and I think the buffalo check throw looks so pretty with the bird toile pillow.
I picked up some more velvet pumpkins. I love velvet year after year so I didn’t mind adding these velvet pumpkins to my collection. They are so pretty that I’m tempted to grab a few more.
How cute are these brown grapevine pumpkins?! I love them. These came from Michaels this year. I know, I know…I didn’t need any more pumpkins. I did sell a lot of my stash on Facebook marketplace at the beginning of the season though. So I had room in my bins to accommodate a few new additions. HA!
French Cottage Fall Bedroom, French Hutch
I don’t believe I’ve shared this beautiful, vintage French hutch with you yet. Of course it came from Facebook Marketplace! I’m always amazed at the beautiful pieces of furniture that get listed.
Anyway, back to this beauty. She is a perfect fit in my bedroom. I originally intended on storing quilts and blankets up top and then keeping books in the bottom. But I sold my big green china hutch recently so I relocated all of my white ironstone collection in here. I actually really like all of the dainty white dishes in here! I’m not sure how long they will stay here, but it’s a nice change.
Isn’t this antique french hutch gorgeous? I originally thought about painting it, but I’ve decided to leave it as is for now. It’s a little darker in person than in the photo, but I’m kind of liking the contrast in our bedroom.
The old basket on top was a thrift find. I did the over cleaner stain remover method on this and let it sit in the sun and dry really well. I love the color and character of this old basket!
I really hope you enjoyed browsing though my French cottage fall bedroom! I really enjoy sharing my home decor and DIYs wit you, I hope you were able to find a little inspiration in today’s post.
I’d love for you to say hello down below and let me know what you think! And if we’re not friends over on Facebook or Instagram, what are you waiting for?! ☺️
